THE ORGANIZATION
Currently, Faida Market Link (Faida MaLi) is one of the few organizations in Tanzania that is involved in linking farmers to markets. The approach herein referred to as the Faida 10-steps Market Linkage Approach among other things involves linking farmers to markets. This is done through contract farming and building the capacity of these farmers and their organizations (farmer-producer groups) through technical, business, and organizational skills development. This is aimed at making the farmers understand farming as a business, maintain contractual relationship, and to access and retain new market outlets.

Additionally, we link and network with relevant institutions and other service providers in order to ensure excellent service delivery to the small-scale farmers and their partner organizations.

Empowerment of farmers includes strensgthening farmers’ management capacity, business awareness as well as improving decision-making and negotiating power through formation and establishment of strong farmer-producer groups.

New Market Linkages are continuously identified through conducting market chain analysis for products with high potential for income generation to farmers such as linkage to fair-trade and organic markets.

Faida MaLi collaborates with other stakeholders at district, regional, and national levels in order to outreach many small scale farmers. The organization also works towards involvement in creating awareness in gender issues and HIV / AIDS among the farmer producer groups. .
Faida MaLi is a lively and fast growing organization that is (inter) nationally recognized as an important player in linking farmers to markets.
